I reckon we will sign a good player again, it's just whether it will be in a position needed. Wenger will sign another Attacking Midfielder in the summer, we can be sure of that, he does it pretty much every summer.

Guys, it's all well and good but if we're going to sign 30 year olds on longer contracts then remember to refrain from calling them shit or asking why we have this crock at all once they put in a few bad games. Fullbacks are expected to get up and down the pitch relentlessly in the English game (unless they play for Fulham). Sagna on a longer and more expensive deal looks good right now while the defence is raped by Liverpool settled, but if we're going to spend some of those millions and billions come the summer Sagna may well become a backup anyway. There's more to it than just the contract.

It all makes sense but my confidence in the scouts/negotiating team and Wenger are pretty low. After the two windows we've just been through, it shouldn't be hard to understand why. It's an area that needs a shake up.

You know how it goes around here. If we miss out on a player he was never good enough in the first place but whoever we sign, it's a good call. I've seen a guy completely dismiss the possibility of signing Berbatov but then go on to applaud the Kallstrom deal. Utter madness.
