Finally the FA and Pearce see sense, after much pleading mind. Will be a very good player if he can bring goals back into his game.
If he's so knackered - which he looks like he is - why has he played the last 3 games and why is playing for the full squad?
Henderson, Welbeck Albrighton have played a stack of games too. It makes a bit of a mockery of us being there without Walcott, Carroll & Wilshere when everyone else is at full strength.
I feel for Jack, sure he had pressure on him. Probably played with these guys for the last 5 or 6 years all coming through together and he has to miss their last tournament together, not for not being good enough but for being too good.
We won't know if Jack genuinely believes what he has said - but if he doesn't, this could backfire on us in two ways - the main one, him getting disheartened and less so, Bentley has never shaken off that stigma of not wanting to play for them because he was tired.
I think theres a difference between Bentley and Wilshere.
I believe Bentley said he didnt want to go cos he needed the summer off as he planned on going to Euro 2008 the following summer or something to that effect. That went well didnt it?
Anyway as for Wilshere, pleased hes not going. We have Gibbs and Lansbury there to keep us interested
Im really glad he's not going. Just looking at his stats on arsenal.com.... he's played 49 games this season which is impressive. If he went to the U-21s then he'd probably turn into Theo & wouldn't come back for another year.....
I'm glad he's not going he's already made the progression to the senior squad and that is what the U21's is all about and maybe another youngster may come through and be Englands new saviour
