they went for moyes when they could easily have gone for fouldrup. all but confirms that they rate moyes more highly and who can blame them? only fickle fans would look at 0.5 seasons instead of 10. the real knowledgable fans know the truth and the fact that the united board all but agree with them by appointing moyes shows exactly how knowledgable those fans are.
Don't be so quick to get on your knees. Fergie's judgement isn't flawless. Remember Djemba-Djemba? Kleberson? Bebe?

Things are changing at United. Rooney now wants out, Gill is stepping down and they probably won't be spending crazy money like they used to. Moyes might be the right sort of candidate they need that will work to a budget and stay in line while Fergie guides him.

We could never have that sort of arrangement here at Arsenal and it would be an absolute disaster if the Board appointed him because you’d know phase 2 of the asset stripping is in full effect.

Besides that, Moyes brand of football doesn’t fit in with ours and his away record to the big four is poor. There is no way we could afford to take such a risk.
