Well seeing as this deal hasn't happened when it was suppose to be signed and sealed last week it's much more believable that we've not made any bids at all rather than we have bid 23 million.
This story did look pretty unbelievable in the 1st place, us spending 20 million plus on a top forward, the proof is in the pudding as they say, papers are well known for making up stories based on nothing rumours just so they can say "we we're the 1st to say this would happen" if by some chance a deal does go through.
Higuain hasn't come out and said anything about this deal throughout.
It has very much suited Arsenal to have this big old rumour doing the rounds for weeks though. Much like the Villa rumour in January. Suits them very nicely indeed.
Imagine the uproar if all we've signed in a one-legged french kid, and Gareth Barry![]()
It's better to burn out, than to fade away.
