What would you rather have? An empty bench or a bench full of Bendtners? I'd rather play with 8 on the pitch. We had a clear out of all the shit we'd accumulated over the years and that freed up cash to buy and retain better players. If he had left out Arteta and Ozil who were showing signs of sickness, he wouldn't have had enough players available to fill the bench, Jenks and Hayden had to be driven up on Sunday as bench cover for Merts & Rosicknote, maybe there was no-one left sober enough to travel.
