Lithuanian women seem to either be hot or ugly... There's no in between.

(No she's not ugly)

Have you ever been to Kaunus? One night I had planned to take some clients out for dinner, some off them turned me down because of the game, and I was like what the footie? No, Basketball! They absolutley love Basketball both men and women. I love the place even though I was their last November and it was freaking freezing! Worst place in terms of dodgy women and local mafia is Buadpest in Hungary. They pull you off the street for cheap drinks and make you pay 1000's in euros to to leave the bar or get the fuck kicked out of you and then escort you to every cash machine or worst case kill you and throw your lifeless body in the danub River. Very shady.

Then after World War Two, it got kinda quiet, 'til Superman challenged FDR to a race around the world. FDR beat him by a furlong, or so the comic books would have you believe. The truth lies somewhere in between.

cleverly played by wenger.

dont sign what we need aka DM and striker. instead buy a left back in the last hour to leave on a high and psychologically make it seem like we've had a good window and strengthened.

1 signing was not enough. if anything it should have been 1. DM 2. striker 3. defender in that order.

he's gone for number 3

He has been very foolish or mis advsied. Can you imagine how stupid he'll feel when he goes to training tomorrow at WBA. But then again why would WBA want to keep player who drove himself to get a deal going, I woud cut my losses and would have sold him to Arry Crooknapps mob.

Yeah she's from Kaunus. I went last Jan and it was -20. I have to say I didn't think the women were that amazing but I think I went out on a dud night. They're obsessed with bball, their team used to be quite good but it's shot now. I watched them get raped in the Olympics. Funnily enough I am going to Budapest on Monday! Random.

Nice, I was there when they had the marching band in the local town square whith all the military statues stand, which is when I met Vladamir Romanov who was staying in the Park Inn hotel where I was staying. We had a quick chat about Hearts and football in general, he then asked me if I was going to the square in the evening to watch the band stand but I had other plans, besides it was minus 10 that evening. I can't remember seeing an ugly bird. I am planning to go again soon.

Word of advise on Budapest! Make sure you check out online the bars and clubs to avoid, seriously it's a dangerous city, I know people who have travelled their on business and not walked out of their hotels, and some travelled with a body gaurd becuase organised crime there is rife. I went online and checked reviews on bars and clubs. do your research mate.

Talk of Ho's, it's rife. I went to a strip club in Budapest where the club arranges to pick you up by private taxi and give you free drinks for 2 hours with exception to the premium brands. So I go to this place and its half full of guys and about 3 strippers to every guy. I was sitting down smoking as they can still smoke in clubs and bars, I get a 10 minute dance for like £10 and you can literally do what you want behind this curtain, which you couldnt in a london strip club. So she offers me a full nights service for the eaul amount of £250. I told her I would think about it, and then she goes to the owner of the club and tells him I am looking for some piece of action and before I know it, fucking each girl comes over and starts a 5 minute negotiation on how much she charges and what she offers with each one under cutting each other, it was a meat market.

Not really excited about this signing espicially when you he is cup tied for the tie with Bayern, tbh the last january window that really got me doing cart wheels was the Jose Antonio Reyes signing. He would have developed in to a world class player had he stayed. He fucked up going back to Spain, his career went backwards and is a nobody now.

Would have made good sense to have added a right back as Sagna is absolutley shit, prefer Jenkinson any time of the day but Wenger doesnt think so, but how Wenger does not see in his DVD's how crap Sagna is playing, giving the ball away, not being able to make a simple pass, he just doesn't seem interested.

I think we had been linked with him in the past. . .but we obviously only got him,for the same reasons I mentioned before which confirms the wise ones's opinions that we werent signing anyone.

I just dont get it. . .everyone can see the squad is at least one striker short. . .feck Theo and Ollie can score two each every game and there still would be a need for a quality back up. . .I mean this is a physical game (although by the way our CBs play it, you wouldnt think so) and injuries do happen. . .but we have Pods, who is just starting to look good on tge left so who plays there instead of him? Ramsey? Diaby?

And then there is midfield, we most definitely need a DM but did we get one? No we didnt. . .all the talk. . .shit why do they bother. . .'Ive got to go, transfer work to be done' - that was one snippet. . .and I fall for it every time

:clap::clap: In a way I do feel sorry for the guy, QPR made a good offer for 3 Mill, how much where they expecting for him at 31 years old and he probably felt a deal would be done, so rather than rushing down to London, he probably thought he should drive down in anticipation of the deal going through. Ok so he jumped the gun and I have done the same when I have handed my notice which has been rejected, so I left and never comeback. Started my new job on the Monday and got a call from HR asking me why I never showed for work. Told them because I have started my new job and she said I have to comeback and see out my notice of 4 weeks, so I told her that wont happen and just to move on, they threatened me with legal action so I just said fine, take me to court and nothing ever came back. In life a person has a choice where he wants to work and I hate it when employers think they own you like a piece of meat. If you're not happy at work and you can make more money elsewhere than an employee has that right in my humble opinion to move jobs even if his employer is refusing to let him go. The company don't give a shit when they sack you or make you redundant or lower your salary.

He's been stitched up a bit by the Sky Sports deadline day reporting frenzy. I suppose if a deal was thrashed out last minute he'd have to be in London for the medical. Or can that be done the next day?

Plus the crook was involved, so there was probably all kinds of underhand tactics going on.

Interestingly, Owen Coyle was on 5live the other night talking abut Miyaichi and he said the complete opposite.
good thing he's on loan at wigan then.

I think he was there on good intentions, and he's a footballer for ffs, they are not the cleverest breeds are they now. I think WBA have been acting like ****s, and I cant stand that miserable sweaty Clarke, he's got an £18 million player on loan who doesnt want to go back to Chelski, I am sure Clarke has brain washed him to continue his football with WBA rather than go back to his parent club. And why keep an unhappy player at your club? For me, WBA come out of this like a bunch of ****s.

I think we should have bought another centre back if we could (Hummels would have been my choice) and maybe someone with a bit of flair and dribbling ability a winger/forward perhaps to make us more unpredictable and give us a more realistic chance of picking up some silverware.

Nacho will hopefully improve our defence a bit but there's only so much you can do with clowns playing alongside you back there, an attacking player might have given us more of an edge as well.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the players in defence. Sagna obviously isn't a clown. Our CB's are #decent.
It's the coaching that causes the issues in defence IMO.

We could have done with a bit more creativity up front and a striker to replace Chamakh, Gervinho and Arshavin none of whom are up to it.

The problem is, that was supposed to be resolved by having Bould or a more pro-active assistant. For whatever reason that clearly hasn't happened, so the only other option to stop the rot that has gone on for years is to bring in top of the range defenders who can do it themselves.

The problem is, that is highly unlikely to happen too, given the price range we buy in. Hummels would be fantastic but let's face it, why would he leave Dortmund for us? It's not going to happen. So that leaves us in a catch 22, where we have to keep outscoring the opposition and so we need top of the range up there to counterbalance the fact we are shocking at the back. But of course, that isn't going to happen either, so we are stuck in the mid-price range, which means mid-price range performances resulting in near or mid-table finishes.

The bottom line is, relegation.

sorry.

I disagree to an extent here. Our defenders are not younglings hoping to come good. They are all aged enough, experienced defenders who some how can't consistently be relied on to do the basics, which are the execution of properly timed tackles and clearances (most recent eg, Liverpool's 2 goals against us Wednesday).

Our blend is just plain ridiculous, especially our coterie of centre backs who are all shitte and who I feel no amount of coaching will significantly help/improve. Somewhere in there, at least one quality defender needs to be brought in for this hopeless bunch to feed off of and possibly adapt the basics of defending from.

I think the left back signing was not needed. We could have played Verms at LB, what we really needed was a quality keeper and how the fuck did England's no 2 end up at Stoke for 3-4 Million? I have no confidence in our GK and he's our weakest link, he's full of himself but in truth he is a poor keeper, and I think the back 5 have no confidence with our keeper. How Wenger missed out on Butland is beyond me, he would have been my signing of the transfer window, i just have no faith in Votjek.

Ches has regressed without a doubt, but I think it would be interesting to see how well a top keeper would fare with this lot infront of him.

He hasn't missed out on him because he didn't want him (Butland). And really, how often can you say you've seen him? He's not even at Stoke for the remainder of the season.

As mentioned above these guys aren't young players, they're players well past their mid 20's and now don't really have long to improve. I'm not convinced by any of them, the errors are schoolboy errors and whilst I agree the coaching is poor it doesn't excuse the errors we see week in week out.

We're crying out for leaders IMO, players than organise, lead and stand up to be counted.

Indeed. And I'm not sure 'England's No. 2' is such high praise when you look at his competition.

How long was Robinson England's No. 1 ffs?

I havent see much of him, but then again I never saw much of Joe Hart when he was loaned out, but he was soon being groomed as England's finest. Ok, so not Butland, I would rather have spent the money on a really good keeper and the one I have seen who I think is the best in the premiership is Begovic. he has to be our main target for the next transfer window, Since Lehman's departure we have struggled badly with keepers, and went bargain basement signing with two polish keepers who came on the cheap, ffs even the spuds has the insight to acquire a top keeper and they paid the money, in fact they had 3 top keepers until the Italian one went to play in the MLS and we have 3 shit keepers, your defence can be shit alle QPR but if you have a world class keeper you still have good chance of keeping clean sheets.

I agree with you, and Letters really. These aren't bad players, but they lack leadership and stability, and in lacking the natural leadership someone like Adams or Keown, you rely on training ground dicipline. We have niether.

I can't trust any keeper that is as heavily protected as someone like Begovic will be, in an extremely defensive team.

What insight have Tottenham shown? They can't decide whether they want to play Lloris or Friedel on a regular basis and neither of them are stopping the goals coming in anyway. Aside from perhaps two, there are no great keepers currently playing and even those are quite often producing howlers.

There are better keeper out there than what we have, there isn't a question about this but this idea that whatever other teams in the league do must be the solution is crazy.

I wish we had that problem of having two keepers as good as each other and not knowing who to upset on the teamsheet. Wenger never invested in a decent keeper because he assumed with Verms and Merts in the back, they could protect the goalie even if he was a Rami Shabaan type. Just a thought.

Well how come they keep conceding goals then? It's not that they have two as good as each other, it's more that they don't want to upset the other I think. Plus that kind of constant changing in defence is hardly going to help with attaining consistency if it's a different back five nearly every game.

I've felt for years that player for player our defenders are good enough but they've never been a good unit. We're not drilled as a defensive unit like Graham teams were and while I do wish we were less shaky at the back I wouldn't want us to be so focussed on defence. But there is a middle ground. The individual mistakes are maddening, I don't know if it's the midfield not helping them out enough or coaching them to pass rather than get rid or a lack of concentration.

Agree about a leader, that's been missing for years. I thought Vermaelan would be a good captain but he hasn't been. Wilshere ftw.

Chez is fine. He needs to stop being cocky and dicking around with it but most of our goals come from defensive not 'keeping mistakes.

I agree with the argument that it may be more down to quality than training. On their day every one of our defenders is able but as a unit there still is a lack of cohesion which I suppose is something we can point the finger of accusation at the management but when it comes down to the sumple art of defending it is the individuals that need to take a look at themselves.

I have seen each Liverpool goal a couple of times now. . .and the first was just pure comedy. . .who was the first guy who fluffed their clearance? The cross was whipped in with pace but it should have never caused the kind of calamity it did. Then there was the second, hats off to Henderson for his bloody mindedness, but he should have been dropped by Santos before he got into the area. It was obvious from the start of his run that he had a start on Santos and Santos should have realised that himself and taken a card for the team, it never would have been red. The bottom line is Santos is too slow, out of shape and lets be honezt not good enough for the PL.

How long are we going to have to suffer the brain farts that seem to haunt and hurt us everytime. Verms against UTD to let RvP in, Kos and his fair share this campaign (even though he isnt starting) - like I have said they all arent bad players and no one is perfect, bad days at the office do happen but I would say more quality is needed. Nacho may have been a step in the right direction, we will have to wait and see but he is only in because of Gibbs getting injured which is a joke but now Gibbs should know his place isnt guaranteed. . .and that he needs to work. . .Santos? . . .history will say he once played for us
