He could hire Wenger to derail the trains.

I’d love to have the kind of money to be that much of a cunt

Our wins are not mostly narrow in terms of scoreline. Please don't cherry pick examples, I could do the same.
The results of late have been generally good but we aren't looking convincing. I've pretty much written off the next two league games, they will tell us more than anything we've seen recently.
They do when they are a top quality side, I remember us (when we were a top side) having runs where we'd beat teams convincingly regularly in particular periods (not all season obviously), we largely get narrow unconvincing wins, there's no conviction, like I said when's the last time we went on a run and won games at a canter?

I'm not cherry picking, this season has been awful, likewise last season, big wins are few and far between, probably as common as big defeats.

Results etc etc, yes it's exactly what I've been saying, we get the results but they're totally unconvincing, very little pleasure to be had, I just don't see the hunger, desire, I just don't see anything that makes it worthwhile watching anymore.

I don't want 1-0, 2-1 wins every week followed by some random defeat all season, I want to see runs of games where we beat teams by 3,4,5 goals and are convincing, games where we genuinely look like the better side, not scrape through.

Can anyone remember when they used to get nervous jitters before the game, or hatched elaborate plans to get out of social events so you wouldn't miss the match? Long time ago.

There was a Serb fan on AFTV last night being interviewed and he made some good points. Football has been sanitised and commoditised out of meaningful existence in this country. It has consumed its own purpose and all that's left is the jazzed up packaging. It's a non-event posed as the latest, greatest event of all time. All for the money. I watch out of habit and nothing else and the only thing I feel beyond the unbearable boredom is anger. Football's actually bad for me now. I'll have to stop watching it. Thanks to scum like Kroenke.
    Yup it was.

I can't, there's nothing exciting anymore, it's all been sucked out of our club.

I agree, but it's even worse for Arsenal fans, it's sanitise and commoditised x 10000 with some boredom thrown in, if you want to go to a non-event watch and Arsenal match.

It wasn’t a wipe sweat from your brows phew encounter, it was totally sedate and played at the kind of casual level which presented them with one or two chances a decent side may have taken, but they aren’t.

Insistence on playing players out of position to rigidly fit one formation, Walcott seems to have lost any rudimentary Football skill he ever had. Wilshere was ok I guess but it’s a complete waste of time if no one else wants to even try and play at his level.

Maitland Niles had a fairly ok cameo, out of all the youngsters he looks the only one with promise
I meant lucky escape I didn't watch, not the result as such.

To be honest we did play some younger players, but you'd think playing at a lower level they'd be keen to impress, seems to me even the kids lack desire which doesn't bode well for the future, I can remember watching young players come into the team years ago and seeing them busting a gut to impress and being desperate to get the ball (doesn't mean they always performed well but they cared and were hungry), no we see this, walking pace nonsense with no hunger to win, what a bore.

Aye, though it doesn't help that Wenger plays most of them out of position. It's all part of their "education and development" apparently...

If we try really hard, we might be able to beat them 0-0.

That'll be up there with our 0-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
