the days gonna be split into 2.

before 3pm- get rid of the deadwood such as bendtner, chamakh and park.

after 3pm- get in new players.

we cant buy until we sell first because we're a couple of players over our 25 man limit.

Even then I'd say no for the indignity of going to Chelsea and asking for one of their rejects. Last year Benayoun was justified because he actually helped us finish above them. Getting a big-name has-been off them is embarrassing. Fergie keeps dicking on Wenger, let's postpone AVB as much as we can.

We lost our dignity a long time ago. You can't get any lower than selling your best player, captain and best striker in the league to Man U.

A fucked up Essien is still better than Diaby. Essien with one leg is better than watching an entire season of Diaby (yeah as if he's gonna be fit for an entire season!)

Chelsea's midfield is immense, it pisses all over ours so given the choice of Essien or nothing I'm surprised so many people would rather have nothing (Diaby).

I would suggest Tottenham look stronger.

A disinterested Modric has gone - Dembele has joined, along with Sig who are proven, quality PL players.

Mountinho was one of the stand-out players at Euro 2012 (in my opinion) whilst Lloris (if he joins) is a top class keeper.

Add in Vertonghen, I believe they are stronger.

Liverpool have added Sahin, Allen and probably Dempsey, which again will make them a far more potent side.

The former Chelsea defender had also been lined up for a move to Loftus Road, but isn't keen to uproot his family, who are very happy in the Spanish capital. Meanwhile both Kaka's wages and Madrid's fee demands - thought to be around the £20m mark - are still major stumbling blocks to an exit, even if Milan's interest is not completely dead."

I've always had a niggling doubt in the back of my mind based on previous seasons but after he specifically said that he would bring in a midfielder to replace song, and our early business this summer, I genuinely believed we would see a couple more players come in.

We haven't strengthened the team as it stands, in fact it's probably weaker, squad wise. Wenger cannot be that much of a fucking blind prick to not see that?!

Ju Young Park joins Celta Vigo on loan

Ju Young Park will join La Liga side Celta Vigo on loan for the 2012/13 season, subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

The 27-year-old forward has made six appearances for Arsenal last season, scoring once, after joining the Club from AS Monaco in summer 2011.

He heads to the newly-promoted Spanish club to maximise his opportunities for first-team football.

A South Korea international, Ju has played in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups. He also represented his country this summer in the 2012 London Olympics, where his two goals in six games helped the team to a bronze medal.

Everyone at Arsenal wishes Ju well for his time at the Balaidos Municipal Stadium.

Football decisions are mine and I will take responsibility on everything. I know from experience if you don't have the hunger as a footballer, then there is no point in playing the game. I wonder when (if ever) we'll spend £20m+ on a player. I'm not saying top players have to cost £20m (Cazorla is a £20m+ player) but if you want guarantees (or as close as) you do generally need to spend big.

Still only 25, the current France captain has already played 38 times for Les Bleus and excelled consistently for Lyon both in Ligue 1 and the Champions League over the last four seasons. I understand that Arsène Wenger seriously considered bidding for Lloris this summer, before ultimately deciding to stand by Arsenal's current no1 Woijcech Szczesny. On paper they are actually very good options. But like you say, it is dangerously reliant on chance which doesn't usually work out well for us. Forgot Chamberlain as a possible option, but it's not like the forward line is stacked. The fact that Wenger has been interested in the likes of Sahin and Essien suggests his 'confidence' is little more than chancing it. Let's hope it goes well eh.

It's always difficult to say who, because we work as a team...hence why some players who looked good with us, have gone on to be shit elsewhere....so always hard to say who we need to buy.

I just can't understand how it takes Spurs a couple of hours to pull a few good deals together, and we ask Chelsea if we can loan a broken leg breaker.

Well, we have Liverpool next and I hope the players are confident about the season ahead. 1522:

Here's what Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas had to say about Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy regarding Spurs's move for Hugo Lloris. It is not particularly complimentary: "We have had people speaking all night with Daniel Levy. He talks a lot and goes back on what we've agreed in writing.

"The things as they were at 5am were not the same at 10am. I think we have to make sure we get a certain amount of value because it's important that Hugo can go to a quality club that allows him to do himself justice from a value point of view, so that he can feel right about it.

"At the moment we're talking about whether he can come back to say his goodbyes to the supporters, to his team-mates, so we can honour him, this truly great player and brilliant man. I would put it at 50-50 that Hugo goes to Tottenham. Although from the outset we've submitted to agreements I would now put it at 50-50 that he'll be going there.

"Agreements have not at all been respected. We've done what we can. Hugo has been troubled by the difficulty in these negotiations."

"Those reports claiming Manchester City had come in for Yann M'Vila appear to be wide of the mark. Rennes chairman Frederic de Saint Sernin has just said the France midfielder will definitely not be moving to an English club today, and added that there is now a very strong chance of him staying in Brittany. 'He's not going to England,' De Saint Sernin declared. 'Tottenham gave up on the player at 19:30 last night. It's 95 percent sure he will stay at Rennes, unless a Russian or Ukrainian club makes an offer.'"

Brendan Rodgers is giving little away when it comes to Liverpool's transfer targets, but he has distanced the club from reports linking them with a late approach for Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The Reds boss has refused to be drawn on reports linking him with Fulham's Clint Dempsey, Arsenal's Theo Walcott and Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge.

There just isn't any super quality around. All the other clubs are mistaken, thinking they have signed quality. They haven't. This shouldn't be confused with the fact they'll finish above us, that is a coincidence, simply because we lacked sharpness and played with the wheel clamp on.

Unsubstantiated rumours on Twitter this afternoon have linked Arsenal with a bid for Marouane Fellaini.

Arsenal fans are lapping it up, despite the rumour being that they have made a tentative offer of £19m plus Aaron Ramsey in exchange for the Belgian midfield monster.

Several other Arsenal fans have claimed that Fellaini wants to leave Goodison Park, although that is far from the impression Fellaini gives off at Everton.

Pisses me off to see so much movement from other teams while we stay static. Other teams lose valuable players and replace them straight away. Us.....doesn't happen like that. Well, we have Liverpool next and I hope the players are confident about the season ahead. Last year, the lose of players took the wind out of our sails and put the transfer deadline dealings helped put confidence back into the team. I think we're taking a massive gamble on certain players staying fit.

i think thats the biggest problem. for years we've sold players and wenger has thought we'd get players back from injury in due course during the season, or we've had a decent team at the beginning, but injuries have torn our team apart 3 months into the season. it seems we're taking the same chance, making the same mistakes, and relying on the same people to get us through the season. we're relying on diaby not to get injured. we're relying on rosicky to firstly come back from injury, and secondly not to get injured again, in order to provide some competition for the first team. we're relying on wilshere to be back soon to add creativity. we're relying on our defenders to avoid inevitable injuries.

let me remind you that we are an arteta injury away from being completely unbalanced in the midfield area once again. wenger on august 17th: 'if song goes we will sign someone in the defensive midfield area, certainly'. 7 hours from the close of the transfer window and we have not improved defensively. even though we're coming off a season in which we let in 49 goals. that is shocking.
